Haagse Aardwarmte

The Hague and the surrounding region offer favourable conditions for geothermal energy. Haagse Aardwarmte applies its knowledge and expertise to help make geothermal energy, particularly in urban areas, a success throughout the Hague region.

The first geothermal well at Leyweg is now operational. Together with local partners, the company is working hard to develop several geothermal sources that support the municipality’s heat transition ambitions. The heat is sourced entirely from the local subsurface, making it truly The Hague’s own sustainable heat.

On our geothermal energy pages, you can find more general information about geothermal energy in the Netherlands and the role of EBN.
