Supervisory board

The supervisory board is tasked with supervising the policy pursued by the executive board and the general course of affairs at EBN. It also advises the executive board where necessary.

Corporate governance

EBN’s executive board provides the supervisory board with the necessary information to properly perform its duties. The chair and members of the supervisory board are appointed by the shareholder. The organisation and decision-making of the supervisory board is laid down in the ‘Regulations of the supervisory board’.

Profile and composition

The supervisory board is made up of members capable of acting independently of and critically in relation to each other, the executive board and every subsidiary interest. The composition of the supervisory board must be such that it can properly perform its duties. Each member of the supervisory board must be capable of assessing the main features of the global policy and has the specific expertise they need to properly perform their duties, within their role as described in the profile drawn up by the supervisory board.
