Seismic data quality analysis of the SCAN raw seismic shot data

During the SCAN seismic data acquisition, performed by EBN between March 2019 and February 2022, the seismic data quality of the raw shot data was analyzed by comparing the ambient sounds with the signal portion of the seismic recording.

This signal-noise analysis was performed for all regional SCAN lines, which are lines L2EBN2019ASCAN001 to L2EBN2022ASCAN046. The guided signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is then plotted against a number of parameters such as charge size, bulkhead depth, nearby surface geology, water table and proximity to infrastructure. This analysis was carried out by a number of interns from September 2019 to March 2022 and the reports, arranged in chronological order, can be downloaded here.
