Invest in employees

EBN has an unambiguous and transparant remuneration policy, with a fixed and variable remuneration for every employee. This package can compete with those of other companies in the oil and gas industry. At EBN personal and professional development of employees is of great importance. EBN retains employees by offering extensive possibilities for job-related and competence related courses.

Personal and professional development​

EBN has defined two core aspects of employee development were defined:

  • Offering personal and professional development in line with EBN’s development (and accelerated where possible)
  • The development and implementation of our own training programmes: the EBN Academy.

In 2011 EBN spent around € 5,000.- per employee on education. The emphasis lay on personal growth. In 2011 EBN spent EUR 370,259.- on education. In 2011, the number of in-house courses increased significantly.

Development plans

Every employee has a personal growth plan from the start. Most of EBN's employees wrote a (new) long-term personal development plan. The aim of the development plan is twofold:

  • Personal – structured thoughts on their own development and on the business
  • To create a good basis from which to fill key positions.

The personal development plan spans three to four years and is reviewed annually.
